Online Textile Trading as you know is a relatively new sphere of textile business. Let me first introduce you to online textile trading. Online textile trading is a business process in which the internet is the main backbone for business transactions. To make things more clear I would say that online business require a textile portal which carries a whole lot of textile directories containing the list of buyers and suppliers. In fact the textile portal is your interface between the users online from both side including the buyer and the supplier.

1. Faster: Online textile trading helps in making faster business transaction reducing many over head factors required normally during the traditional business approach where everything right from quotations to the final shipping happens through face to face dealings. However online textile trading is faster due to web technologies combined with business technologies which requires you to only register yourself or your company to a textile portal for the basic subscription. Every time a posting of a new product is made, it is queried upon your requirement and if it matches your postings then you are directed to the same by the textile traders charging you only a small percentage of your transaction amount.

2. Economic: One may say that transactions online is costlier than the traditional approach which is absolutely true if you're a first time buyer/supplier. This is because for good online transactions first of all you need to register yourself with a popular textile portal for their basic subscription and then would be intimated upon finding relevant matches to your postings. Those having 100% belief in traditional approach only may not go for this change but its advisable to go for this dynamic change in your business process to secure a good future for your textile business.

Lets start with upholstery weight fabrics, as durability is always in the forefront. The weight of these fabrics is defined as being able to hold up to heavy usage. You can definitely feel the difference between a light weight fabric, usually used for drapery or toss pillows, and a heavy weight fabric used for upholstery, pillows, and cornices. For well used seating such as family room sofas, breakfast chairs, office chairs, and children rooms, a heavy weight fabric such as chenille, micro fibers, leathers (though technically leather is not a "fabric", but a material used in upholstery), or any other tightly woven fabric is best suited. These materials are generally easy to clean and keep clean. In more formal settings, a backed silk becomes very durable, but usually not cleaned easily, unless professionally cleaned, and then there could still be problems.

The above mentioned fabrics are also well suite for upholstered walls and ceilings, even though a light weight fabric could also fit the bill. There are general rules for patterned fabrics and solids. Lets define the difference in there use. For larger upholstered pieces most interior designers use a solid fabric and accent with a patterned toss pillow. There are many fabrics on the market today that appear solid, but have a small dot, a slight slub, a subtle thread running through it, that will make up beautifully on upholstered pieces. They add a new dimension to the furniture piece, add a little excitement, a show a different style. Patterned fabrics are used more as accents since changing them will result in very little expense. To change a few toss pillows to a different color as compared to changing as entire sofa, clearly make sense.

Many people are starting to apply fabric to their walls and the outcome is quite beautiful and luxurious. I have seen it done on television and I like the look for the most part, but there is a better way.

There are a couple of problems that I have noticed when applying fabric to the walls. One is the glue or adhesive that is used. Most of these adhesives are toxic and I don't wish to apply a toxic product to the walls of my home. The second are the edges, I know that you can fold them under, but that leaves an edge that is raised and it may buckle after a while because it's not glued flush with the wall. If you don't fold it, then fraying is a possibility.

I am also not too happy about removing the fabric when I want to change the look or décor of my home space. The glue that remains on the wall after removal will have to also be removed and will require another toxic product to remove it. Then I will have to prep the walls for any new application that I want to do.

This makes my head hurt and to think of all the people, that have already applied fabric to their walls. For the time being your walls look great and I am very happy for you as long as you are happy too. But for people like me - I want it simple and easy, I want it to be non-toxic and I want it to last and have the same look as I have seen on television. One more thing I want to use recycled products, I know that's not too much to ask.

Floating fabric - this term is kind of new to the design industry, it has only been around for about 15 years and it has gotten much better. First you have a frame that is installed on the wall; the frame is made from high impact plastic. All that is needed to install this frame is a drill and a couple of screws. You can match the frame color to the color of your fabric, that a definite plus in my book.

Red, white and blue are key colours for fabric this summer with everyone preparing for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the London Olympics.

Street parties and barbecues will be held all over the country to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and there are a variety of products including fabrics and accessories with a patriotic feel - ideal for street parties or family celebrations at home. There are an abundance of great fabrics to choose from - from those depicting the Union Jack to red, white and blue stripes and stars etc. Some of these fabrics are also available in PVC so are ideal for tablecloths.

Bunting is a great way to decorate for a party and is very simple to make. Gather together an assortment of fabrics in red, white and blue, cotton or cotton mix fabrics work best. Cut a template from thin card the size and shape of triangle you want and use pinking shears to cut out the triangles to prevent the fabric from fraying or if preferred you could hem the edges or make triangles using two pieces of fabric sewn together so that you will see the right side of the fabric on each side of the bunting. To do this place the right sides of the fabric together, machine two sides and then turn out the right way. Attach the triangles to a length of bias binding by sewing them on, you can make this any length you want.

PVC fabrics are ideal for tablecloths as they can be simply cut to the size you want so are a very good no sew option. They can be wiped clean and any spills will not go through to your table.

Cushions can be made in red, white and blue fabrics, mixing and matching fabrics will give the best look. Cushions can be used on chairs inside or out in the garden and will add to the patriotic feel. You could also revamp old chairs by painting them red, white and blue. As these colours are always popular in decorating schemes these cushions will be able to be used long after the Jubilee and Olympics have finished and the flags have been put away.
